Audi Big Wheel is a concept for personal trasportation.

The vehicle is a big wheel which has a separate inner and outer part. Between the two parts there are electromagnetic segments, which are controlled by the main computer, and by changing the electromagnetic-force between each pair of segments, the acceleration-deceleration can be controlled. The big advantage of the system is that it can work totally noise- and friction free.

The seat is based on a system formed by sliding rails. On these rails the parts of the seat can be adjusted: by sliding the lower part front and back the backrest also changes angle an together with this the headrest is adjusted. This way the controls are always in range of the driver.

The vehicle is controlled as motorcycles, it can be bent into turns.

The main parameters of the ride are displayed on the control panel, while the part covered from the sight of the driver by the wheel is compensated by a camera which projects the environment onto the inner side of the wheel so there is no blind-spot in fornt of the driver.
